    2008 gsxr600 ?

Now this could of course just be another one of MCN's "scoops" that their Scoop Office makes up, but:

If that is real, then that is a real ugly exhaust.

Looks like a K6/K7 with a different light unit and a gay as exhaust.

Filling in a form, waiting for stuff to come back. Filling in the next form that couldn't be completed until we'd received stuff back with the previous form We're waiting on my wife's registration with the Nursing Council at the moment... took her bloody ages to get all her stuff together and get that sent in... that caused more than one

It'd be much easier just to come over on work visa's and apply for residency while there I'm sure, but we need to sell the house to fund the move and aren't willing to do that without knowing that we've got residency. Really hoping to have it all sorted and be over by the end of January. (Hmmmm, I have to give 3 months notice at work... better get my resignation letter drafted )

Is it just me or do ALL the '08 models look like shit?!?!?

--I dont like the new 1000RR from Honda
--I dont like new colors for the Honda 600RR
--I dont like the new GSXr600 from Suzuki
--I dont like the new (for 07) GSXR 1000
--I dont like the new Zx10R from Kawasaki
--I dont even like the new US-spec colors for the R-1

Dont get me wrong though.....all these motorcycles are great from a performance perspective......its just from an aesthetic standpoint they leave alot to be desired.

At the moment, the only bikes that get me drooling are the MV Agusta F4 312 and the Ducati 1098. Shame they are so expensive to buy and run. Im still waiting for the Ducati 848 that coming out in December. Its gonna be lighter and a few grand cheaper then the 1098........so I might just get that. One thing has me worried though:

I recently read on a Ducati forum about a bunch of new owners getting shafted hardcore for servicing. The Ducati adds promise "50% less maintenance costs on all new Ducati's" but the reality is that the maintenance schedule Ducati promises is, apparently, not actually enough to keep the bikes in working order. So what customers are being told by dealers and service departments when they bring the bikes in is "yeah we can do strictly what Ducati recommends.....but the bike actually needs this and that checked as well if you want it properly serviced.......which costs more". Reality: The 1098 does cost less then Ducati's of old to run......but not nearly the 50% less promised by Ducati. Its just a marketing ploy with no basis in reality whatsoever and its one that service departments and dealers appear unwilling or unable to honor. Thats enough to make me hate Ducati right there.....as if MotoGP wasnt enough!!!

Those poor dealers, seeing there revenues shrinking by 50%
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
