Could go to some really interesting places. Ever been over Gebbies Pass at night?

Its a good ride though it can be a bit scary and you can finish up at the Wheatshef? tavarn on the other side of the hill.
Yeah, I went over there one night a couple of months ago. The fog was so thick it was seriously scary. I haven't been back

Give it a few weeks and we'll be well into the good weather I reckon. Warm clear nights that are generally perfect for riding in.

I was out last night for a ride. Sitting at 100km was just madness out on the plains, it was so foggy. It got to the point where I was just following the tail lights infront of me. I couldnt see shit as the visor kept misting up on the outside of it

    Was a good ride though.

Yeah, daylight saving starts next weekend so that will help alot. It's funny how those "crazy weather" rides can end up being the most memorable

Shouldnt matter whats on TV, as there is fuck all on anyway these days.

And what is worth watching can be easily downloaded from the internet and watched at your own leisure without ads.

I realise that, which makes it difficult to get the word out.

I figure I'll just set a day and a place and if I end up riding by myself because noone turns up, then it's going to be a quiet ride each week. I wasn't expecting an explosive start. We'll just see what happens

Have discovered that there are a lot of bikie Clicks around christchurch, if you havent been a member of one of these, they are not overly welcoming when you show up. Tris thought that this would be a great way to get everyone out. Obviously Chch rides are not as social as Wellington ones....... (Come on prove me wrong)

Well babe you can count me in (When I'm up for bigger rides.....)

So have we got a date and time set yet?

Im working early starts for the next few weeks so evening rides would be awesome for me.

If you and Deviant cant find anyone else and end up just riding by yourselves, definatly get Deviant to send me a txt (he has my number) so I can tag along.

A lot of the 'cliques' that I have ridden with stick to riding with each other because they ride at pace and there is an understanding between them. Probably part of the reason we have less bins down here, as there are no unknown riders to make an error of judgement, ie trying to keep up, show off, etc.

Anyway, I'm always up for a blast. Make a time and I'll see if I can make it.

Sorry mate, I haven't been able to get hold of Deviant, but once I do we'll pick a day and a meeting place and be done with it.

Personally, I think thats a terrible attitude to have. I mean, fair enough, your own safety is important, but how are the new riders going to learn if they don't have the opportunity to ride with the more experienced riders?

I hope you do come along because I don't yet consider myself to be one of those experienced riders, or mentor material

Yeah you are right, it is a bit of a stink attitude. But I suppose I'm only talking about the sports bike riders, the guys I ride with occassionally ride at a decent pace, it's not like they don't allow new riders to join in, it's normally that the new riders decide to go at their own pace.

I'll be there, if the time suits, without a doubt.

I guess some of us have time issues or other commitments (such as caring for animals, sports etc) that we can't always be so organised.
I would be keen from time to time but my problem is by the time I finish work the ride will be over or near enough to it.
Just post ride & times & you may find some takers.
