Thanks. Going regardless of weather - but hasn't it settled down nicely lately? Looks like the other guys either aren't back yet or have just kept on going...

We passed all you guys & of course I waved out to all I could (was bloody heaps of ya lol). Met Patrick for the first time, top bloke. Poor ol Mike just bought another bike this week & took it for its first real spin but his gearbox jammed in 5th (6 speed) so we gave him a push start @ the Awakino pub & let him go for a bit then slowly caught him up & he led the pack back to Waitara then I 2up'd him to NP to pick up his ute. Oh well that's what you get when you buy an old school Ducati

So how was your guys ride? Did the weather hold out? We hit a few patches of rain but mostly pretty light and only lasted a minute or two then dry again, very lucky

Catch you all next time hopefully
hey, yeah i spotted ya....I was on the RF leading the group up that hill you were coming down...but what were doing at the back?? RF's always lead the way mate

yeah we got wet on the way home, a few patches here and there but then a serious soaking between Waiouru and Taihape but it's all good aye - hell of a day, hell of a ride, bloody good roads up that way

Another f$#%ing good run. Yes it rained. At least it was mainly on the way home. The CX performed once again like a fine peice of 29yo slant eyed engineering should. I even beleive I got it airbourne over the raised one lane bridge on the Viniger Hill.

Nice selection of bikes all round. It was nice to meet up with some new faces.
Hope you all made it home safely. Looking fwd to the next one.

Almost bang on noon the crew arrived. Some refuelling and away we went to PioPio for lunch. Mostly nice enough weather. Got to put some faces with KB names.

Thanks for the ride and for the company, hope you all made it home dry :-)
Good to meet you today pritch, very nice bike you have

When we came across you guys I was coming down the hill just out of Te Kuiti & was at pace so didn't get a good look @ all the bikes (could barely manage a wave @ that speed lol).

I was @ the back cause I didn't have my fuel cap on properly & comin up the hill out of Te Kuiti I was getting fuel sprayed in my face lol So stopped to sort that one out.

Out of our group im usually in 2nd spot once we pan out as one of the lads has a radar detector, is a more experienced rider & has a faster bike than I (a brand new 140BHP/122nm torque 1200cc V twin Moto Morini Cassaro) so he usually leads our group on rides.

But yeah hell of a day for a ride was simply fantastic, lovin the RF with a fresh service & new rear tyre, me chicken stripes are small as after this ride
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Yep, a good day. Long and varied. I was a little tired so never quite found my flow. It came and went a few times so not all was lost lol.

Nice to meet some new people along the way. Those Naki Rd's are just brilliant north of NP!

Fair bit of rain on the way down, normally wouldn't be a problem but I had my leathers on, and wet leather is not exactly warm.

Lost Jonno briefly, but he made an amazing reappearance thank god

Gary H was brilliant in the twisties, Sarah got lost and had an 'experience' on the way back - speaking of the Vinegar Hill one way jump, I mean bridge

Maybe she can explain, thanks Gary for the rescue

All up, a big but good day
