Just spoke with dad on the phone, we are going to do the engine bay & boot this weekend coming, preparation of the inside (needs to be prepped again due to sitting around so long) & masking etc so its ready for the inside to be sprayed next weekend.

Once the inside/engine bay/boot are sprayed, then we can start re-wiring the car as the next step then get the engine in & thats the main bits all done. The rest is after work stuff, a few hours here and there etc.

    Im so excited...

    Born hard eh? ;-)

My first car was a mini, was great fun!
I gave it such a hard time, my old man would repair it daily.
Had a 1340 in it, weeeeeee, was a rocket, honest!

Have always fancied one with a busa engine or similar

I love Minis, even though I'm not a small car fan normally...Love the colour on your one!
And yes, definitely needs racing stripes...

Now, if as an accessory we were getting Charlize Theron...

lol... I can imagine!! I want to put 1340 in mine eventually... need to upgrade the drum brakes to disc brakes & have it recertified or... well... you know!... might not be too easy to stop!

This is what I'd be looking at in terms of engine upgrade in the future... mini engine... turbo'd etc..
no mods req to bolt in etc

    EDIT:.... & yes... Born Hard

Put one white stripe down it - front to back.

My mate has a blower (supercharger) for a mini, think now it's just missing an end plate. I was going to put it on one of my mini's way back when but went through a patch where I'd keep blowing diffs (yes mini's have diffs), worst one was 13 pieces, well 12 and a hunk out of the block. Would smoke em up in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the dry thou.
    Them were the days ...
We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

Dad has a tournament on saturday... so we'll be doing the painting on sunday... but ill be down there on saturday as well doing other stuff.

wanna move the engine out from under the bench & degrease etc... clutch/sump needs to be painted black as it is currently green but the new engine that I put in is black... so want it matching
at least doing the prep on it is still doing something that needs to be done .

Also the doors bonnet & boot need to be sanded etc so can get them ready for painting... otherwise ill end up with the car finished n no doors/boot/bonnet to go on it lol!!!

    Nice paint job, great project.

My brother had a rather hotted-up mini that could fair plant you against the back of the seat when he put his foot down.
    Motorbike Camping for the win!
