Brilliant - not bad for a naked 600.

Paul and Vicki are an awesome couple! Thankyou so much Paul for a chance to ride the FZR in the sprints. The work you have done is amazing, as I say it is a completely dofferent bike and you have really made it look great. Thanks for picking me from town and dropping me off again, for sticking around all day and for paying for me to have such a blast! Hope you dont mind if I call ya Dad from now on!

Ha ha ha - don't be a wanker Drew Matt got the fastest standing start and he was pretty chuffed with that AND he is such a damned neat guy that he would help out regardless of the circumstances...

Not to detract from V who got the fastest time at OVER 270kph in the BEARs class... FANtastic... cheers Doll - great to see you out there doin' it for the chicks

Well done to everyone - great day all around I'd say (bloody glad I didn't have to ride home in that shit weather though I have to say!!!)

Your not kidding... At the Haywards turn off it was raining so damn hard I was seriously considering building an ark... Hels rocks up beside me an being an incurable optomist says 'yeah but it's not windy aye!' 2 seconds later hurricane bella descends on us.. argh! NEVER mock the weather gods...

A big fat "nope" I'm afraid. It started drizzling as we got towards the takas, was raining properly by the time I started tip-toe'ing down (wuss in the wet), and absolutely pissed it down for the m'way up till just past Petone. I had the pleasure of tipping water out of my gloves at the traffic lights and arrived home with a significant "wet rat" air about me.

A bath and gin&tonic or two later and the world looks just peachy again

Heh. The first time she left from the "top" for a flying quarter it became apparent that taking it easy on the ol'FZR was not on today's agenda. Nice!

I think it can be counted as a moral 200k. And it sounded beautiful. Some lucky camper somewhere is going to pick up a bargain of a 400.

I reckon, dam lucky with the weather, the Hill was ugggggggly on the way back. I was totally glad we took the van.
Big thanks to the Deano and all the organizers once again for a great day, and the chance to see what our bikes are caperble of. Stoked that I got the speeds that the manufacturers state my bike can do

That 1098 sounded AWESOME! well done that dude on his Standing 1/4's! and big thanks to him and all the others that contributed in sorting out my flat tyre(sorry I don't know your names). Was great to be able to finish the day.

I dunno - Your bike sounded kinda hot as well you know...

Speaking of noise...That chap with the Sreaming Eagle V Rod (apart from being an utter knob and doing a barely controlled burnout in front of the hall in the midst of pedestrians etc and causing the Clerk of the Corse to get pretty grumpy) ..... FARK that thing was mind numbingly LOUD...... And that was just in the looks department - it was positively deafening when the engine was running... You didn't so much hear it and feel it liquifing your insides...

I suppose while we may not all 'like' HD's etc - good on those of them that turned up and had a go. That HD night Train did an early run and sounded awesome .... The high level of HD participation was to be applauded really...

Anyway - the gauntlets been laid out to the classic club lads as well.. Novembers club ride will be to the sprints and i hope to encourage some of em to have a go.. Hmm I wonder how fast a BSA B31 goes????? (not very I suspect)

Cheers all involved for an awesome day out!

It was really really great to see a few harleys out there!
I was actually quite surprised especially at the older pushrod EVO 1200, 198 i think? thats farkin quick.
November should be even better, especially if ya all cowprod ya mates into parting with the entry fee for a legal cane, its cheaper than a speeding ticket and if you win a pize it pays for itself

More bikes, more variety should mean even more fun!

maybe the rg150 next time? Im keen to see how far out THAT speedo is, it sure seems like its miles out on the motorway...

Speaking of which: does anyone know when the full results are out? Online?
