So long as the road is dry-ish.

Hopefully the road wont be all slippery like when we went to Diamond Harbour.

Nearly lost the front end on the first shady corner coming back to Christchurch.

Indeed. Yeah, that was quite hairy... I think both of us had one end or the other break loose a couple of times. Still, no grit to worry about any more, so hopefully it won't be too bad even if the road does get a little damp. I guess we'll just have to find out on the night.

...although we'll be taking suggestions as to where to go each week, to give people a chance to discover roads they didn't really know about.

We'll have to wait until Mrs Oakie gets a new bike to put in an appearance now. Bloody thieving mongrels!

Been avidly watching this thread progress
definitely thinking of skipping work early on Weds to be able to make it up to town, though weather will be the deciding factor heard mention of bloody snow & shite on Wednesday though
fingers crossed that any weather that is coming pisses off and doesn't build up to much

Damned right, now that's commitment for the rest of you lot!

Damned weather! Been watching the weather reports as well the last few days... it's threating to ruin the first and much anticipated meet!! Still, the response has been way better than what me or Phoenix were expecting... we thought we'd have very little interest and maybe a half dozen would turn up at most! I think it's great to have so much interest - it will be a great opportunity for everyone to meet some new faces, new people to ride with... so yeah, fingers crossed the bad weather stays away!

Either way though, if this Wednesday turns out to be shyte... there's always next week! We'll keep trying until we get the weather we're after... and then keep doing it anyway just for the sheer hell of it.

Less than two months and I can sit my full... this'll help distract me until then!!

I heard about what happened to her bike I hope the cops track those mongrels down fast.
Hope she doesn't have to wait to long to replace it.
