Jim Beam for me! just post your address mate and we'll all come over lol By the sound of it yours is the place to be Sunday!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

ah but there is no street number only for those keen unless you can find the ss-v in the drive PS: holden will win.

bathurst, either holden or ford will win, both will still be slow, and until they allow someone other than themselves to race, im not interested in it. bikes are much cooler.

its like saying we are going to race XR400s vs XT400s, in a race that only allows those two bikes, then whatever one wins MUST BE the worlds most bestist bike ever because it won bathurst, meanwhile theres much better bikes out there, but the rules dont allow an actual fast machine.

    [end rant]

Hey Boooom, I kinda agree with you...... I work in the pits at international events (Rally and Track Services) and we did the Aussie V8s at Puke (will be involved at Hamilton and A1GP too). It would be interesting to see what would happen if they opened it up ,although I think the costs would escalate. The formula does work well at the moment and I'm amazed at what some of the teams can do with so little money....The V8s are very much like a Hollywood set, not much behind the facade.....A bunch of people enjoying themselves, like us at Ardmore, but on a bigger scale..

    Roll on Bathurst...................

lol, come on, it only took holden or ford like 9 years to beat the skyline's lap time.....

the difference between us at ardmore and bathurst tho, is half of nz and oz dont watch us and then a percentage of them dont go and buy whatever bike won the race....

would be interesting to see if they got a whole lot of different cars in the mix, with say the same horsepower range (150hp isnt it? ) and see how they go then, large family cars and race cars are two completely different things.

Only 9 years!! Your not trying to compare an open class 4wd turbo to a 2wd V8 with restricted tyres, brakes, and engine are you!!!! Shit if they put that drive train in the V8's they'de have blown that lap time in 9 minutes!

Na! The holden Vs Ford battle is great! Its "downunder" ethos. Gives us identity like the BMW, Jag, Audi battle in British touring cars.

    Long may it continue!!

    GO Holden!!

i used to think holdens were ok, then my mrs worked for holden, turns out they're pretty shit. just the recalls alone are ridiculous - not the public ones they tell you about, the other 10 each time ur car goes in that they dont tell you about

o, also worked for nissan... yea those RB engines arent much better than holdens. with the exception of the RB26DETT, which is nothing at all like the rest of them.
