Heheh, I call it `AIT' just to upset them

They're in an even worse position in many ways; at least we've got a few more open spaces kicking around -- they're in quite a crowded part of the city, footpath room only.

happened last year, they tryin really hard to make sure people know that theyre a uni and not a polytechnic or wateva....

just back on topic, im gonna be writing an essay type letter in the little spare time that i have to the dean of science, outlining the reasons that have compelled us to park out the back by the lockers, so if anyone has anything they'd like to add or have me include in the letter pm me.

no abuse of the guy, nothing rude and please keep it constructive

He does look like a crazy old guy, it must be said ^_^

Seriously though, do we need to flick him a letter? He's not in charge of the parking. You reckon you could put the letter up on here before you send it? Probably a good idea to use utmost tact.

Personally I think somebody must've done something to piss him off so badly.

i was just thinking of our central, not-in-the-middle-of-nowhere, placement in the cbd, and would like to point out some advantages

like lots of jobs, especially for those doing engineering degrees who need to complete 800 hours work, which would be made more difficult if we had to move back up to auckland for the summer.

any particular reasons?? the reason i want to write to the guy is to try and reason with him...being an academic im sure he's at least a little reasonable....

also he mentioned that he would do all in his power to ensure that we return to find all our bikes towed from the area so this is my effort to stop that from happening in a constructive manner....id rather avoid a war with someone that has any political power

and yea i'll prolly post the letter up on kb to make sure it has everything and so that it can be criticised by the general public, allowing me to address any issues and other shit like that

just because he said he would doesn't mean he can nor will do anything

i'd just be quiet and hope he's forgotten about it

leave it for now, until they come by again. Lets just play nice back there and park where its possible....

Absolute lazyness rang a bell at 9-10am this morning, 5 bikes parked right outside the lockers and covering the right side of the doorway, while the park next to the gym back entrance and over by the sci centre had 1 (of 5 possible) and 3 (of 10 possible) respectively parked in them

Fine to get a couple in there, a couple means they're outta the way, 5 will be seen as a pain in the ass...

If i have the chance i will hang round there tomorrow morning to try and get it cleaned up a bit

the old guy has a point.
if the bikes parked where bommer was when the guy was talking to him are facing straight out then they do take up about 20cm of the walkways width for a few feet of its length. they need to be on a slant.

if i find my bike missing i will burnout infront of his aircon intake a few times.

I do hope you are not studying architecture or graphic design.
