In my opinion, after working a few bikes, it is money down the drain.
you will decide you want a better bike anyway, probably sooner than later, and the money you pour into your jog will not come back when you sell it,I think you should save for the next one instead of putting money into this one.

    cheers.

Yes, I'm another Welly based scooter rider.

My SJ50 is derestricted, and seems to get along quite nicely. You're welcome to take it for a ride to compare. I'm told the Jogs are faster than the SJ50's, so your scoot should go nicely when uncorked.

I also had slightly lighter rollers (7g) fitted, along with a Kitco type 3 pulley. This changed the top speed from 61 to 70k (checked before and after with a GPS), and as I do a stint of my commute to work in a 70k zone I think this was quite worthwhile. Also it means that it cruises very quietly indeed at 50k. No reduction in the ability to go up hills either, thanks to the 7g rollers. With 8g rollers it crawled up hills.

The scootling forum is a bit quiet, but has less people telling you to buy a motorbike instead of a scooter

Sounds like you don't get it... not everyone wants to ride a motorbike... there are some really great scooters around...

Crazy Steve told me the other day that you're a bit of a muppet with that GSX-R1000...

Ps. Some people CHOOSE to ride scooters over geared motorcycles
