    Arrow Love, Speed and Loss.

OK folks, the documentary "Love speed and loss" is screening on TV again!
    Sunday 14th October, 12.30pm on TV3.

The documentary is about New Zealander, Kim Newcombe and his rise to the European Grand Prix podium.

An absolutely amazing film. Emotional throughout and something that any biker (racer or not) will probably enjoy seeing.

If you are out riding - set your video timer!

P.s. If you want to see a damn remarkable documentary on real lunatics, watch "Cheating death: Tuna Cowboys" on tv1 (starts at noon).
SERIOUSLY BIG BALLS. (wrestling with sharks/nature/diving...)

Cheers, never look at what's on during the day usually so have just set the video as we watched it last time but didn't think to tape it. Excellent documentary, I'd be keen to buy a copy if it was released - without the ads!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Isnt it strange how we have so many of these stories.. your Burt Munroe/Kim Newcombe/John Britten types in NZ.
    It is kinda strange.

That was one hell of a good doco. As much as anything its quite an insight into the mind of a top racer back in the days when fatalities were common. 35 in ten years was a number recalled at one stage. It was also a very personal look at the grief of his wife. At times I felt it was almost too personal. Very moving stuff

it was a very sad doco tho. and man their flat in germany was a crapper..ewe..no bath for a week!

but it was super what he achieved...wat a cool lifestyle they had once they were on the circuit. bling for the post or i'd never have spotted it. that was the first and last telly i'll see in a while

Makes me see outboard motors in a new light! Seriously sad-interesting that he picked the problem with the corner that cost him his life, and the typical inaction of small-minded officials.

I actually thought this was more interesting It's probably because the guys do a damn scarey job. The divers were inside this massive net repairing holes with Mako sharks scoping them out, and all this in some of the most shark infested waters in the world. Bugger that for a joke!

This has been screened on television here, at least twice now. An excellent documentary and strongly reccommended viewing.

It would be great to see a retailer stocking the full disks over here. The interviews and the information about the bike would be very interesting to see.

I came across a copy of this doco on DVD, in my cupboard today. I forgot I had it! Never watched it until now.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. He was an amazing man. Bit of a tear jerker
