Is theyr any other tyres that are recomended? I would like to stay away from pilot powers if I can, are there any decent dunlops on the market. I had dunlop gpr-a10's on my 400 and they were mint.

I dunno why you are anti the 2CT's. They are friggin awesome on my bike! That said, I haven't tried any of the others yet and having come off pilot sports, anything would seem brilliant!
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

You could try Avon Vipers too, not sold a lot over here but get great reviews overseas and are supposed to be the ducks nuts in the wet....

Ive heard good things about the 2ct's, I was talking about the normal pilot powers before, they seem a bit flimsy, when braking hard it feels like abs is kicking in, this isnt a problem Ive had with other tyres. The 2ct's are the latest michelins arent they? I may try them at some stage if I get a heap of rave reviews about them.
I just got the contis this morning and Im already liking them, will give a bit of review when theyre run in, havnt had a chance to go for a decent blat on them yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Sport Attack and Road Attack tyres will probably have different sidewall stiffness as well as rubber compound and could noticeably impinge on handling characteristics.
I'm running Road Attacks on the XJR and I'm pleased with the handling but not sure of longevity (compared with Bridgestone BT020's)

well... you have them anyway.... so this comes a bit late, but I told you my thoughts.

Very good tyres. Have had a set on my 10, used the 190/55. Now that is a work of art. Profile forever, you can really really lean it over, still grips. Pity I have ended up with about 5k, but that ain't too bad, when I think of the peeling I put it through.

Reviews said they went off real bad about half way into life, but I haven't really had this happen to me. Have found the varying grip odd, being able to lay the power down leant right over, but on the odd average corner, I had to try 3-4 times to stop it snaking all over the place. Slides are predictable, easily controllable and slow to happen as such (ie, it doesn't just snap)

On the whole, very satisfied, and will continue to use them.

Made this thread before the need for the new set arose, but so far I am very satisfied with them.

well... I don't ride like mr fruit now do I.

Funniest I had, was coming into whangas, from waihi, one friday. Riding with a mate on a modded 06 10. I complain to him, sheesh, even cruising into town, damn thing is sliding all over the place, WTF is wrong. Turns out rear was peeled and blistering from edge to edge. Front was all balled

I've just put 'em on my 10, after a thousand clicks or so they really feel good - quicker tip into corners than the old Diablos but steady as a rock while cranked over. Haven't tried them in the wet (well real wet anyways), or the track yet.
