I can relate to that!! I often think, "why oh why did I spend so much time sitting on the back of other people's bikes and not get my own??" Then again, I probably would've killed myself if I'd had a bike as a youngster (says she who is all of 31, but I mean when I was a teenager)
because I choose to
i ride because its only me in my helmet everyday life gets left behind...
i ride for the thrill and experiences
i ride because i hate cars (choose not to drive)
i ride because its how i cope......
me without my outlet is not a good thing
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.
Barbenda got it rite in a few words (on the 1st page), i was a angry lil bastardwhen i was younger and since having bikes over the years its made me less angry cos i kinda took everything out on me bikes lol. I just love it as its just you and what ever is in front of you etc. Its my get away... my space to think no nagging from anyone etc. Just sumthing i think everybody should experiance in their life time. "I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."
Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
Deanohit - have you not learned which questions are very dangerous?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Danger is the spice of life! And sex is the sugar!!

I got into riding in early 2003 because it was something I had never done and always wanted to try.
I bought my first bike off Jimmy Mair at Wellington Motorcycles... a new GSX-250. I have been addicted to the thrill of motorcycling since and am now on my fifth bike.
It's fun, the phone doesn't ring, you are at peace to think and relax as you focus on the road and scenery and ride to your heart's content.
The next thing on my list is a second bike for track days.
Because I started a new job where there is no parking and the traffic is terrible.
Decided when I went for the interviews that I'd have to get a bike (too far to cycle and buses are a joke).
It also saves me a fortune in fuel
Riding is so much fun I'm wondering why I didn't start earlier.
because its the most fun you can have with you pants on,anyone ever ridden a bike starkers btw as a matter of interest?
