Yeah, I reckon! mine's a XXL too, and I'm definitely not "Asian sized"...! I got one for the Missus as well, but it wasn't a woman's cut and didn't fit her properly, so we gave it back.

Road is 21 k of good gravel road, well worth the effort. We left the bike in the carpark & no problems ( no locals either ). The biggest issue we hit was tour buses. The public dunny even had bog roll in it

Thanks Jafar, the Info Centre at Kaitaia suggested otherwise, and also to take a tour bus, but never mentioned anything about the bogroll. Thanks for the heads-up.

A pity - looks like it would be a good ride. Others have said the same, guess it may depend on the "whether" ... whether the locals want that type of bike.

As soon as the summer "arrives" and we have the nice long days and warm nights (feb maybe) we are keen to run yup the west coast through the forest to Kaitaia and back down along the eastern side.. need to spend overnight somewhere (a night or two maybe) I suppose.. but from what I remember the last time I was up there the west side is just majic..

Yeah well they said the sixe I got was the largest jacket made.... now come on.... it barely fits me and I am only a petite 185cm and 95kgs... hardly big.

I tend to think the people that organised the jackets had no idea how big the cruisers were and therefore how big the riders would have to be to be able to ride the bikes to start with!
