go for a blast at your own pace...ya dont need someone else to hold your hand for ya
Well, when it rains, I like to strip naked, daub myself in spaghetti sauce, flour and hundreds-and-thousands, and do a special rain-dance on the back lawn with a hollowed-out pumpkin on my head.
It doesn't do much for the boredom, but it passes the time and amuses the neighbours no end.![]()
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
rain = drift time![]()
I only had 2 mates who did not mind riding in the rain. I'd put on my gear then put the one piece rain suit over the codura, jump on the DRZ and go for it. Nothing quite like blasting an enduro slightly (sometimes more, or so I'm told) sideways around the backroads of the Naki, buggered if I'd do it on a sprotbike though.
Used to really enjoy watching everyone else trying not to slide, when I was trying my damness to slide.![]()
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
I ment what to do with my mates...........

Light the fire, sit around and watch a movie (Wild Hogs... or Wild Hoes for that matter!)or have a chin wag over a coffee and biscuits if you can't afford beer.
Read a book on motorcycling or just look at the pictures and dribble....
Cover the front brake (more than usually)
Ride to the conditions (more than etc.)
Avoid road markings (more etc. etc.)
Keep extra distance from the cager ahead
Keep a cager on my left or right to run interference at intersections
Wear waterproof boots
Update the antifogging on the visor
Have fun!
