You won't need to look too hard to find the trees We're getting together on Monday to have a look at some maps and suss something out for the ride home, but we're open to suggestions. In the meantime here's last years adventure thread if you want to see how it went then.

Slight change of plan - I'll now be leaving sometime Friday morning for a leisurely ride up via Maruia Saddle, and maybe some other diversions that take my eye on the way and arrival in daylight.

I was planning on getting away around 10ish, which would put me at Murchison at around 2pm based on the times I did last year.

I could probably manage that, but I won't ride all the way with you, unless you want to do Maruia Saddle What's the Guzzi like in gravel and fords

They had a display at the rally last year, so if all else fails you could talk to them there to get directions.

Jerms refuses to come (yeaaa you wuss!!!)

Peter not available due to work
    Alan has kids that week
    Ian and Di busy
    Roddy wussed out

Don't think I've heard back from anymore people. Mac? You up for it?

And although my bike is available from the automotive electrician tommorrow, I dunno if I'd trust it for a trip to Nelson before I ride the ass off it around CHCH and NOT run into some dodgey electrical intermittent wiring
