    Poetic justice...

Just a laugh and had to tell....as I rode to work this morning i noticed a bike in my rear view mirror a few cars back. I pulled up at a red stop light and the bike lane split and pulled up next to me.....i looked across and saw it was a nice shiny new Ducati, i did the normal thing and lifted my visor and said "goodmorning....nice bike.." all i got in return was a foul look and ignored...oh well i thought to myself, the light turned green and we rode off to the next set of lights...yep again...he look me up and down then looked straight ahead...the lights changed and we moved off again...Well at the next set I noticed the ducati started to sound really off, spluttering and carrying on......I lifted my visor again and asked "are you ok? this time he answered me....." well no i think its starting to flood or something?" with that remark it stalled right at the front of the queue.....I replied "well that's gotta suck...have a nice morning then....." and happily rode off.....

Had he not been such a stuck up prick i may have offered to help. anyone else notice some riders seem to be stuck up? or am i too friendly?

haha, na dude, i think you re-acted ok, the guy seems like a bit of a twat and lets face it, if it had happened to you, you would have seen the back of his spluttering ducati before your bike had finished stalling.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Yes of course - I agree with you. His attitude WAS shitty...... and it sounds like he deserved the response that he got.

I reckon you are reading way too much into it.
If they've got a clear visor then all you can see is their eyes, so I'm not sure what constitutes a foul look. With a dark visor you can't see jack. I've given what seems like a clear nod from my perspective but others have wondered why I snobbed them.
The poor bugger may have been stressing over the traffic and a $40k bike that was obviously playing up and the last thing he may have needed was trying to make pleasant conversation.
You reckon he may have been a stereotypical stuck up Ducati rider? Maybe a case of stereotypical tall poppy syndrome instead?

He had a clear visor and body language said alot too . I have had riders before that just don't see you or the traffic is way to busy and never thought badly of them.....and why does it seem that you think i dont like Ducati riders....had it have been a different bike i'd thought and done the same...but i can see where you are coming from

I think this comment is probably more accurate, you're right about mistaking gestures, and faces with helmets on. Just like the typed word, often misinterpreted...

    I'd have stopped to help.
