For me the hero of the day was the guy I saw just out of Renwick (assuming he was doing the 1000km) crunched up on a CBR250RR. 1000kms in a day on a 250 sportsbike? Now that's commitment.

Check the North Island 1000km trip in the Ride Reports area, they had a FXR150 complete it.

Great day out with not a drop of rain. i started at 6.30am from Manchester St and finished at 6pm at Fitzgerald Ave. About 50 minutes of stops so i'm quite pleased with my average speeds. Thought i would have seen more cops in Nelson as the rally was on but can't recall seeing any - maybe more mufti cars were sent in to the area?
To anyone that ever told you you’re no good… They’re no better.
