    Thumbs up

    Good on you!!!!

That select group of smokers that drop their butts out the window is one of my pet peeves as well - though as brave as I wish I could be I'd never risk the confrontation of addressing it with the person (been on the wrong end of road rage once - never again). But I must ask would you have been so bold if it had have been a 150kg Criminal Lookalike that flicked the butt?

Personnally I wish the govt would grow some balls and legislate to raise the legal age by a year each and every year until this latest generation of smokers are all dead.

If your 18 and you've already made your choice to smoke fine by me I'll support your civil right to keep smoking (and pay your medical bills) until your old and then dead but it seems blatent stupidity to me to allow our kids to continue to be exposed to this addiction when the solution seems so simple to me.

Oh did I say something controversial.

As for attention - I certainly got more in that regard than I had both desired and expected. I desired none and expected only little. This was more about speaking up and addressing an issue that you feel about instead of doing the same old thing - getting annoyed and doing nothing. And trust me when I say that I wasn't at all enjoying it.

hey, i agree .. littering is not nice.

However coming onto a bike site to whine and moan .. he needs to get out more.

Either that or join up to that site that takes pictures of such behavior.

And yeah Gordie.. i agree; one less moron to watch out for on the streets. And for goodness sakes... Who stops in the middle of a race to get out of his/her car..??!!!!

Yeah, sorta, - just transferred my work attitude and ethics to KB for a while.

(Ferkin' weather is crap down here, snow on the hills, pissing rain at times and constant howling gale - and I'd planned on taking CBs Sporty for a squirt)

Nah mate nothing controversial there at all, one thing you might want to reconsider about your darstedly plan though. Smokers, by way of tax on tobacco contribute over M$900 (thats nine hundred million dollars) to the economy each year. Get rid of the smokers, and the government will come looking to take it from your pocket!

Yes I used to think of it that way as well but then somebody pointed out to me the cost to the medical system of the associated long term health problems caused by smoking, apparently asthma, emphasema and lung cancer aren't all that cheap to treat. Neither are the education campaigns and costs associated with collecting that tax.

But you are probably right they may be paying more in tax then what they are costing - but I'd be happy to help make up the difference if it means my daughter won't be exposed to the "cool factor" and pier pressures that go along with smoking.

And how much do they suck out of the health system to patch up their nicotine induced medical problems??

BTW I have noticed 95%+ of the losers I deal with smoke - but that does not say all smokers are losers...hmmm...
