    Knee-brace advice

Me old knees are playing me up.

I was just wondering if anyone has brought a set recently that have helped.

I don't have a big budget (as usual) so I won't be getting the top of the rang, just something to do the job.

Anyone had a look at the thor ones, they look quite cheap, (scott)?

knee braces will not make your knees feel any better, i wear pretty good cti's and i have still twisted my bad knee in them, they are mostly to stop hyper extension, (bending further than they are ment to)

the CTIs, asterix and evs are all pretty good but are all around the $1200-1400 set, and your knees will still hurt afterward if they do now as they do not tak eany weight off them,

the thor force knee guards are pretty good for protection, but not so much for bracing,

Yeah stand most of the time.

I wear good knee pads at the moment to protect my knees, so maybe I'll try some of the tube sock type of support aswell.

    Thanks

I like my Thor Force braces off TradeMe.
More support than knee pads/shin guards and a hell of a lot cheaper than the Asterisk/EVS/CTI/ETC.

It's what I do as well, my left is the only one I'm worried about, but I have one on each knee & they seem to have stopped most twisting.
If the thor ones are the ones with really wide straps, almost brace style, they look interesting, I don't really like the Alpinestar ones I have now.
