I mentioned his thick head and got told I was supposed to be eternally gratefull and now he is talking about trading in a perfectly good wife for a brand new bike

Mate she hasn't plastered all of their personal info all over the internet - the situation she describes could describe 70% of us on here

1. they have a mortage (not a real exclusive club)
2. concerned about the weekly fuel bill (who isn't)
3. considers an overseas holiday to be too expensive (who doesn't)
4. wants to update his bike (who doesn't)

She hasn't questioned his ability as a provider at all, if anything you can read into the post that he is a good provider given that she thinks they afford an overseas holiday and he thinks he can afford a new bike.

Seems to me though that they both agree that they can't afford both (who could)

Anyway you asked how I would feel - honestly I don't think it would worry me other than to tell me I needed to listen better - and I suspect he does in this circumstance or maybe he just needs to explain their situation and his reasoning to her better
