TOP QUOTE: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
So why would it be affected? Why would the "spice" be gone?
From what I have read in this thread, it seems quite a few people have just been posting to get their post count up.... to me, that alone shows that this decision was the right one, surely its about what you contribute to KB?
Anyway.... quality not quantity is something a few on here dont seem to get.
Good idea Spank
I personally don't see what the problem is...I post for the awesome conversations I have on line with people I really like.
Some people may consider that drivel, and fair enough too, but I enjoy it. Now wether that goes into the post count or not, I don't give a hoot, I'll still have the same banter!
But it has highlighted to me that I need to make a bit more of an effort to look at more directly bike related threads and contribute somehow.
I got to admit that generally in these threads, I will do more reading than posting, as I am a self confessed ignoramus when it comes to mechanics, and am not stupid enough to post on something I know nothing about!
Meh, so what!
I do feel sorry for the people who were or almost were senior members though.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."
Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
Interesting conclusion. It is very different to the conclusion I came to.
I also don't know much about bikes, so I also do a lot more reading than posting. This change doesn't tell me that I should post more often in bike-related posts. I will still continue to read and learn. But it does mean that my post count more accurately reflects my lack of knowledge about bikes. I'm fine with that.![]()
