Put my bike in at R&S for a WOF and new tyre, went to pick it up and they hadn't finished - kind enough to loan me a new Bandit to ride home on.

So I took the Whatawhata road - Te Kawa road home. Whatawhata was still closed off at 8pm so I was diverted thru Te pahu as well - nice road next to no traffic, on the new bandit.

Don't see the point at the moment - my bandit actually goes well enough for me - the problems I have with it arn't solved by buying a new one (shocks) - mind you it is fuel injected, a bit quicker, has a better/fuller torque range
But more wind? foot pegs give you better road clearance but my heel sits on the exhaust pipe.
It has a 6 speed gearbox, but still sits at 4k at 120km/hr, the same as my old bandit, so that just means more gear changes for next to no advantage? No gaps in the gear ratio with my 5 speed bandit.

So about $8K to change I can't see that much advantage in doing it.

I've thought long and hard about a sport bike - my guts is too big and would spend the day polishing the paint off the tank, with my tree trunk legs cramped up behind my fat arse.

I also have to grin a bit when I ride with some sport bike riders moaning about the weight on their wrists - all that so they can look cool - the bandit goes fast enough for me and it's comfortable. I might enjoy the extra performance however

Not too many sport bike rider are leaving me in their dust anyway

I chucked the buell in the mix as it's a sport bike a big guy like me could fit - and i love it's rawness
The SV would be a bit cramped but I'd like to compare it with the duc

I know there's a honda in my mix - but ya never know!! I might go crazy or somin

Kwak ZX14R, Buell XB12 with a bikini fairing if possibe, CBR1100 Hondie, SV1000 Suk, 999s Duc

But I don't really do devil speeds!!
or that long of a distance - like I don't get out there touring - just get out for a ride for a few hours or a days riding, fun is the name of the game
