There was a time back when I had more hair it was known as Wellington Motorcycle Centre but these days its just Wellington Motorcycles http://www.motorcycle.co.nz/

This is another case of why do mods always think they know best? Why not just leave things alone and not stress?
    Cheers

Good on you Merv don't forget to keep attacking.

*waits for the disclaimer that Merv isn't attacking, just being a bastard... oops just "commenting".*

The mods have better things to do with their lives than indulge in a stream of consultative PMs every time they make minor changes. There's enough to do as it is.

You would be surprised at how many ambiguous and silly thread titles get modified, for the benefit of all.

Occasionally a mod will make a mistake. If you're not happy about it, PM a senior mod to get the issue sorted. Starting yet another whiney thread to complain about the issue is pointless.

Speaking for myself, I do a bit of modifying of thread titles, particularly in Bike Mechanics.

Given that Bike Mechanics is designed to be a resource referred to by people in the future as well as now it makes sense for a thread title there to be as informative as possible and we try and change them so that they read a lot easier.

Say for example a thread which originally reads "Which tyre?" could be changed to "VFR400R NC30 - Tyre options", to differentiate it from the myriad other threads to discuss tyre options.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I do what is best for people whether they like it or not. And I'm not even a mod.

Bit over the top don't ya think. To the Mod concerned: please lighten-up and stop making more work for ya-self

Asking/PM'ing ya first would have been better.

The day this site starts correcting me spelling'n'grammar in my posts, without even asking/PM'ing, I'll f*ck-off out of here.

Bit over-sensitive aren't we? It is only the Internet after all.

Your point is? Just because it's the internet, it's OK? How I write things and spell them is part of what makes me me. Change that and what is written is not longer "who" I am.
Besides where would the "Hitchers" be without "real" people like me to correct?

I personally suspect that it has been happening for quite a while now...
