I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, unless you mean that blissful feeling when everything just flows, without you having to concentrate on it or give it conscious thought?

If that's what you meant, it's the zoned-out feeling you get when you're using the right hemisphere of your brain, and the left one's essentially gone to sleep, as it were. You can usually tell, because the constant chatter (thinking in words, rationalising, etc.) just stops. It sounds like bollocks, but it's true.
You can get it doing all sorts of things: painting, drawing, playing sports, etc.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Yeah I'm a bit challenged with the "written word" mate.
Put it this way...the only way I used to get my motorcycling "fix" was via adrenalin.
I have since found another way...and I like it.
I am not claiming that I'll never seek out a motorcycling adrenalin fix again though...

Enjoying a cruisy speed - nothing wrong with it. You can easily both cruise and speed at the same time though
So, I think it's all good!

Oh no, please don't That would be like killing a legend of entertainment...And normal is highly overrated in most of our books, ain't it?
I can't help but think that this whole thread and moving of it was a devious attempt to drag V out of the Off-topic area

It's an odd feeling but one I've been waiting for for quite some time and I had been trying to slow my road riding for a fair while but for whatever reasons it all just came together.
Don't get me wrong, there will no doubt be occasions that a genuine good squirt etc but for the most part it's done and dusted.

BTW...no I haven't joined the fluro vest brigade...few years to go yet

epiphany... I had to look that up in the dictionary, had this vision of some 80's female singer....anyway....is nice riding in Maha land every now and then aye?...and dont worry about those Fluro vest's...they are becoming ever so popular Whatever the reasons for this efafphany, rest assured, it can be a good place, even for those doubters....riding 10 10ths everywhere must have the same effect as me riding 7 10ths, being happy at where you are at all times is paramount, whether you are riding or not....thats my epipfanny....

It wont be long before you are buying a cruiser and talking about the old days when petrol was only $1.50 a litre. References to riding a bike all day and still drinking your weight in beer afterwards will become common place. You will start all your sentences with the ubiquious "I remember...."

Brendan told me to take the micky as often as I could.

So all comments above are his fault.

Dude, leave me alone...I've been a model KBer today (based on a hypothetical mods' description) and have been posting nothing but bike related posts ...Watch out, or I'll report your arse for trying to lead me astray!

Shouldn't that be called Zen Biking? Whatever it is...very cool that you found it! Biking is a multidimensionnal sport, and too many times it is forgotten that there are many ways to do it! (I will bite anyone who takes this out of context! )

The force is strong and growing in the right direction grasshopper,
Look to the roads around you, know yourself, your own bike and
you will never be in peril for a thousand rides...

He who understands the five fold elements of gas, gear, bike, destination and the transit of the journey to that destination is pre-ordained for greatness.

Much has transpired beneath this road warrior's wheels of learning, he has faced mercurial challenges, plumb the road rashness depths of his prior selves, he has twisted many a throttle and mastered many arcane riding machines ...

He is truly one with the biking universe, lo, the biker gods pay homage to his growth and maturity as a kensai of preambulation.

Not small his legend, large is the coin he has deposited in the suppliers of his rides and consumables...

    Ride on DMNTD, ride on!

Who candle burning bright thing brought me down to ground level.
Too many good fast riders don't make it to 40 these days.
