There are a few out towards Gordonton-Taupiri ways. Know they're great in the car - have yet to try on a bike. Also Maungateparu has a road connecting to Morrinsville - another brilliant road - twisty to start then long straights with nicely cambered corneres.
You only need two tools in life:
Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't.
WD-40 if it doesn't move and it should.

Brute force and ignorance always prevails.
Failure comes from too little brute force, or
    too little ignorance.

I hate straight roads... the be boring... even in a cage... Any one can ride a bike in a straight line... but cornering shows some skill...
However the canterbury plans and some of the back roads...

Well I am not crazy. It is straight as, 1 driveway and I am still alive....50k can be unsafe...........I am 45, look after Nats so I would not do anything that I knew was unsafe and likely to kill me......

How about those massive straights coming up to the one way bridge before Kopu? 3 or 4 straights that last a few k's each.

I LOVE the straights between the corners especially around the Coro Loop and up in the Waipoua Forest.
    Otherwise...no thanks!

Drag strip at Meremere. But its not long enough.

As for straight roads....BORING!!! if ya want straight roads go to the States...

I say give me twisties any day, hell of a lot more fun, less chance of getting a speeding ticket (depending how tight the twisites are) and anyone can open it up and ride fast in a straight line.

There is no skill in it.
My bass is such a slapper.......I cant stop fingering those strings

I'll second that. My ex-girlfriend was a prime example - realised that she had finally managed to top-out her car and started clapping with delight

Ugh, right next to the cheesecutter median? No thanks. Rotorua - Toe Paw on the other hand...

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

the ruawai straights near dargahole are nuts long, they must be close to 10km long!
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
