Damn right. That was one of the biggest selling points of the DR650 I had as a loaner at one point.
    What footpath?
    What roundabout?
    What steps?

Come on guys, it's just a stupid little island full of dumb drivers and useless traffic management. The guy should be given a medal for creativity.

    It was me.
    I done it.

I especially disguised the VifFerraRi as a Hyhosilver and put a fake plate on to throw off suspicion.

But I can't deal with the overwhelming guilt any more.

It's all right, Oroficer - I'll come quietly; n need to tazer me (but you can if you want to..)
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I say who cares 'bout the rego, if you thought it was worth posting it then it probably was! Heaps of people in here are saying how it's fine etc especially if he was under control and crap. Isn't this a bit contradictory to the flaming going to the guy who ran from the cops, giving bikers a bad name? Oh, na, if he was running from the cops and in control and knew what he was doing that's all good...right?

When peds see bikers coming at them on the footpath surely that heightens peoples angst towards us...

    Just my input.

You're right to post about it, Mt Eden shops isn't the brightest place to ride on the footpath and if I had seen that I probably would have had a quiet word to the bag rider.

    Just don't post the rego.

Can we lynch the Hyobag rider now? I've sharpened the pitchfork and got the burning faggots ready.

There are two places I will use the footpath if there is a holdup. It probably isn't doing much for the reputation of motorcyclists, but it gets me where I'm going.

There have been some recent modifications to improve traffic flow in town here. (This is at Mangorei/Northgate for the locals.)
So of course now the traffic is backed up miles and I use the cycle lane in the morning. Passing another hundred or so cars up the inside probably doesn't do much for the reputation of motorcyclists either.

Guys, there has been some sunshine lately, the serotonin should be cutting in about now.

    Cheer up ffs!

I see no problem having the guys Rego posted (although I find reporting threads a little boring).

There are other threads where 'naming and shaming' as been activly encouraged - so why not when you see something particularly stupid.

Oh - and to the original poster - if you post comments about running from the police (also a stupid action) - it kind removes your credibility about posting comments about one type of biker giving another a bad name

Yip - and if someone saw me and posted my rego and told me not to ride like a tosser I'd say fair enough because I was riding like a dick.

However - in 15 years of driving I've had one ticket (from a fixed camera for 62 in a 50 zone) and been stopped twice by the police.

The first time the officer said it looked like I was going too fast (I was but not by much) but they didn't have a radar. I think they were bored since It was the middle of nowhere.

The second time by an officer by the side of the road, again no proof and at the time I wasn't going more than 60.
