And a very useful article I found on how to back it into a corner:

"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

    Nice work
Alloy wheels (& WOF-able tyres), couldn't afford the spokers, though a KTM set were up on TM recently for $1700... So anyway, I guess my bike is not technically a race-approved Supermoto cause I think you need to have the stronger spoked wheels for jumping? Ah well, still got the old wheels for jumping!

Alloy is still good for the street, still a huge improvement over a 19 and 21 inch wheels,

I have decided my next bike will be a motard, looks like motards are a fuck load of fun to ride.

I've done some sick things on motorcycles but I get the biggest buzz from motards and at relatively safe speeds. Doing 120 on a 1000cc sprotbike is f#*'n boring but on a motard you've already got your thrills by the time you get to the speed limit.
Some shit may be just as illegal but as they say the faster you go the bigger the mess. or is it the bigger you go the faster the mess?

    Motards Rule, Aiyee!

I very rearly ride with the guys i used to ride with back when i had 1000s, they all moan that I piss them off when i tootle along the straights at 110 and then leave them behind on the twisties, and just as you said Sully, you can have all the fun while doing 70 or 80 km, and when you bin it, you just pick it up and have another go

Depends on the budget, This is what I would (and have) buy
    $7 - $8k, 03 KTM 660smc or 02ish XR650(sm)
    $11 - $12k, 06ish WR450 (SM)
    $15 - $16k KTM 660 SMC (twin Muffler)

Plus a few that have taken my fancy, Aprilla SXV, Husky NOX, KTM VDB works rep............ooooh baby

Jeez guys, I'm stoked with how well this thread is going. Great to see everyone talking about the most fun bikes out there.
