    VN1500 -What d'ya Reckon?

Just bought a '96 Kawasaki VN1500 (Vulcan) cruiser. Really enjoyed the test ride - I think it's a cool bike. Would like some feedback from other owners.

Good solid reliable cruiser... if not quite as quick as a modded 800

Come and join us at VROC to learn what the bike's capable of. 25,000+ members around the world, so a massive knowledge base being shared there. A reasonably active down under branch as well.

The Delphi Kawasaki Vulcan forum is another good one, which may require (free) registration...

And last but not least Gadget's site. This guy has done every conceivable modification to his Nomad, and kept detailed instructions for the rest of us.

They're a great family of cruisers the Vulcans. I've never heard of anyone who regretted buying one.

Good on you! There's one (still) for sale on TradeMe, with all the add-ons including towbar. Looks really nice. I looked at it before I bought a Suzuki Intruder 1500. Hope you like it and get plenty of happy Kms ...

There is a family of big Vulcan bikes. They are:
    Vulcan Classic (VN1500 now VN1600)
    Vulcan Nomad (VN1600)
Vulcan Mean Streak (VN1500 now VN1600)
    Vulcan Drifter (800/1500/1600?)

Also the 900 cc newest member of the clan is getting good reviews. The VN900.

    All are great bikes.

I have the Mean Streak and that is one good lookin and great riding machine. No regrets on buying it at all.
