Well what a bloody magic day The roads were awesome, company was great and the weather was nothing short of brilliant
Thanks andrew for your organising the ride and thanks Janno and Racey for your culenry efforts with the BBQ and i,m pleased that you recieved a little more in donations than what it cost. I swear i will never drive that road in a cage, it would be shear agony
Managed to chew out the rest of my tyres so its new Avon storms all round today for the concours. Scrub in tonight i rekon
Realy good to meet some new faces and to catch up with a few others i havnt seen for a while. Riding rocks eh![]()
You rode the M109 Yea you bloody ripper, i like them they are a nice bike, pity about the front light though
I rekon you would be able to swing one of those around quite comfotably Sarge. I had the meanie right over all the time no problem and was never too far behind the rest of the guys Thats you mate, they are farkin cool, go buy it, then youll be able to join us on the long rides where we have all the fun
Well, without getting into a huge speil about it lets just say driving it half way through the gorge was more than enough for me, taking into consideration it was obviously going to have limitations it was shocking, it would be far to easy for me to get myself into serious trouble corning on that bike.
It really upset the bike when you grounded the pegs too.
I think the Concours was wise choice.
Edit: Long rides are'nt a problem, long stints in the seat at one time is the problem. Can do 7-800k without to many probs if there are plenty of "ciggie" breaks
Baa ha ha ha nice one
Well impressed with the 14, right up there with the pack through the twisties, Kawasaki got it bang on with that bike, she is a great all rounder.
You must have been feeling more confident on ya new bike by the end of the trip Chris? Nothing like a long ride to sort that out aye
Ended up being more stops than planned so you probably would have been ok. If I can make it with a busted hip then you can![]()
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. Yeah, you'll have a spare one soon won't ya?
Damn straight! They go alright but I had a few issues on the hot tar, I think you were up my date when a had a good squiggle at one stage and then after you passed I took it a bit more easy. Don't like the idea of trying to pull the bike out of a fence...
That type of calilper doesn't have pins Lee. The pads have protrutions which sit on the top of the caliper mount with a raised piece in the centre of the backing plate. Like item -3547 and -3546 on this page-
http://www.oldbikebarn.com/motorcycl...rsal=Universal
-3546 is also for the CX front disk caliper I gave Sarah. Basicly similar calipers but the breed nipple and bango bolt positions are reversed.
Manawatu m/cs in Josaph Street stock them. Just take in the left over one to compare with. Also I've got a couple of well worn examples if needed.
