Sports bike's purpose in life?

Hi there,

A quick question for y'all, who here owns a sports bike as a daily commuter and alternatively who here owns it as a weekend warrior or track tool? Also if you could state the pro's and con's of your answer it would be great.

WHY commute on a bike? They are TOYS. Use the fucking cage to go to work in, thats why u r going to work aren't you....to have no fun and not play with your toys. Use the bike for FUN only, all days you can ....except when its wet.

Yet i used to ride a 90hp sport bike??? Klown has her now (but i think he blew up her engine)

I really like the FZ-1. Great bike, easy to ride with oodles of power.

Every day is a fun day when I'm on a bike... the ride to work is fun... start at 7am and it's a clear run for me And it gives me something to look forward to on the way home, sometimes I'll take the long way. Commuting on my sportsbikes FTMFW

With my commute, the oil in my Ducati would hardly start get warm.

So I'm nice to it and currently I use a bicycle as my daily weapon

I have used it as a commuter in the past with no issues (apart from staying within the speed limits that is)

I really like the FZ-1. Great bike, easy to ride with oodles of power.

Except when you loose 2 spark plugs, and the remaining ones are only 90 degrees apart.......like riding a bike with square wheels.
But yes the FZ is easy to ride, except when you forget how much it weighs.
The motor makes the whole bike very deceptive, when the power goes, momentum takes over (like corners)......my balls get very small.

I awake every morning and ponder the view from my bedroom window.
If I can see the trees on the hill across the valley, then I know the weather is kind enough for me to Ride the bike.
If I see fog, grey mist, snow or any of those other nasties,
Then its the old faitfull utes turn to brave the road.
When leaving my gate, I have 300meters to travel to warm the bike up,
A quick left right, cross SH 1 head south and its 100KPH limit for the next 30ks.
Now, after a day of watching the Grape vines grow, basking in the sun, or freezing in the rain.......
It a 300meter warm up along the Vineyard access road to warm the bike up,
A right turn to head north towards home, SH 1 and 100kph limit for 30k's till I brake for the little pathway to my home.

Daily sports bike yes

I guess living in the country and working in the country is just great for a biker like me

oops, I got a bit carried away there. Definately weekend warrior + trackday tool. Constantly feathering the clutch in 1st gear isn't a particularly fun way of riding a thou methinks. Also, you can't load it up with tools and PCs. However when the weather is fine I do take it to work occasionally.

Sprotbikes are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start racing next year. I love sprotbikes with all of my body (including my pee pee).
