If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
So word from the insurance company yet? I hope everythings okay, mum being mum (and an asian one at that!) and your lack of conveyance now ... always good to reflect on the factors and your mental state of mind and what you did right/wrong from the incident.
And big ups to those who helped you out afterwards to get you and the poor little scorpio back to home base!
"I like to ride anyplace, anywhere, any time, any way!"![]()
That sucks EJ. Guess you didn't get a chance to stand it up before you levered the tyres off the ground.
Pity about the bike but glad you're ok. Bikes are pretty easy to fix (or buy new). Agree with everyone that says you should get a Hornet or maybe a Bandit if your bike is written off.
if you saw the way EJ eye's up the chrome on my bike - I think he should get a cruiser. And ride it like a Hornet!
lmao lots of suggestions there!
I called the insurance and they are gonna send me a "Claim Form" which will take days... fill it and send it back... another couple of days, then theres the weekend, aargh!!!!!
after all that, I'll get some news
Lesson learnt!: I shouldn't have bought a new bike!!! faarrkkuuhh!!!!!
I should've bought a used bike and play around till I got some "Knowledge"!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH HH!!!!!!!!!!!!1
What a waste of a perfectly good new bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate myself!!!!!!!

There are two things that I've learnt that day.
1. Scorpio is a commuter not a sports bike. Don't try to ride beyond it's limit
2. New bike is not a good start for a poor asian like me![]()

Come on, have a sense of humor.. The "good on ya for getting your knee down" comments are obviously in jest.
Shit happens. People make mistakes when they're riding. Happens to the Rossi's the learners and everyone in between. The fact that EJ is big enough to admit he pushed it too far speaks volumes about his willingness to learn to be a better (and safer) rider.
Maybe by sharing his experience he's actually helping others learn from his mistakes. Had you considered that?
on ya EJ![]()
DUCATI ALL THE WAY!!!
