Why can't we put on the MXoN at Taupo? The club put on a couple of excellant events there last year and the event is looking for a venue after the Ireland event got cancelled. I wonder if anyone is going to step up and try and make it happen. This would be awesome to see in NZ.

Good thinking Danger. Yeah, it may be money that prevents a NZ MXoN - but has anyone checked out what is needed?
Helen might give us what's left over from the Americas Cup. Jusy the small change would probly do it.

the rumour around the US message boards is the promotor in the states lost money,
youthstream demand big money for this event, my guess is that you would have to spend 3 to 5 million to get that event here,

to run the des nations taupo would needa huge upgrade, not so much in the track itself but the facilties, it would be a big ask

i hear that Taupo are looking into a international event, World Juniors is the hot rumour around the pits at the moment
