New adventure rider in Canterbury (awayatc)

    Hi all,
Have recently returned to bike riding with 1998 Aprilia pegaso 650. I work offshore month on month off, Am 49 years old, fit, easy going and keen to put in some decent trips in my time off...so may see you around...
( back home on january 8 till february 5, so if there is a trip on or off the tarseal anywhere in canterbury I'd be keen..)

Ya developed a stutter there Helen?

Welcome to the KB awayatc, as Helen has sa sai said some of use are going through Lees Valley (thread here) on the 23rd but from your post I take it that you are not around then.

We don't have a lot planed for the new year yet but I'm sure that will change There is the Capital Coast Adventure ride which is Bi-annual and is very highly rated. It is on the 26th April i.e. Anzac weekend.

Keep an eye on the adv section as we tend to use that for organising rides round canty/top of the SI more than the meeting and events section.

    Cheers R

Thanks tri boy, llama sola, helenoftroy,SDU and Cooneyr for your replies and your welcomes.
Nice of you to help me on my way with planned adventure rides. My job makes social life a bit "unpractical" 4 weeks at sea is not helpfull, but then 4 weeks at home......Well that should make things more interesting!
I bought the bike 1 day before sailing, but easily used up my first tank of petrol on that very same day...
I will keep my eye on the adv section, shame the Lees valley run is on my time away......
