Lee's Valley ride on 23 December

Hey all, cooneyr and myself are going to go for a ride through the Lee's Valley on sunday the 23rd. Wondering if anyone else would like to go for a wee jaunt before xmass. I would like to add that I am still a novice so will be a bit slower. On that note, any other novice's would be welcome.

Well that's just fine with me, I prefer coffee and toast anyway!

Knew you would be keen Transalper. Feel free to bash (and I don't mean literately cause it hurts when he hits back now ) little bro into shape with KB etiquette.

I would suggest Peg at 9am.

I would be keen to tag along. How long you reckon the trip would take (ie what time would we make it back to Chch)?

I'm keen too - in fact I just rode it today!

Nice and dry but too many gates to open and shut, but it is the calf season.

Can I suggest we start from the Loburn end and finish at the Oxford end?

How long do you want it to take? or what time do you want to be home?
It's Christchurch to Lees Valley, there are many options in that, so it could take 3 or 4 hours or it could take all day depending upon how you decide to approach it.
I should be home packing but could be up for a little bit of back road (like Intake or north bank) near the Waimack either on the way out or more likely on the way back.

I have to be back in town at 3pm at the latest. Will there be a Waimak diversion on the way home?

I guess I can always bail out of the Waimak stuff on the way out anyway! I have to get to Oamaru for tea.

Will also be able to christen the new E-07 on the freewind!

I recon we should go Chch, Rangiora, Lees to Oxford then see what people want to do ex oxford. We have 3 basic options being seal back to Chch, one of the sides of Waimak or Eyre river. Lets not decide till Oxford aye? I recon we will be in Oxford somewhere around 1300.
