A friend of mine and his girlfriend (now wife) did the overland trip to England back in about 1990 on a BMW R80G/S. He said that if he ever had to do the trip again on his own then he would do it on a 250 single. Cheap to buy and run and if you're only doing 100km per day anyway it will do the trip just fine.

After seeing all the GN125's here........i have a new found respect for them.
+ they become a fantastic taxi, it funny seeing a guy wearing a suit, jump off the subway, talk to the rider then jump on the pillion seat of the world dirtiest gn's.
