    Should have gotten off the motorway and headed for some tight twisties and you might have had one in your garage now eh?

    Not that they are slow in a straight line.

    The one I rode (2nd hander in Colemans) had a more brutal power delivery than the B-King - loved it. Its not stock though - baffles have been drilled (or something like that) to give it a bit of noise/presence - don't know what else has been done.

    I looked-up the specs - the GSX1400 has a shorter wheelbase and is lighter than the B-King. Interesting.......

    I'm pretty sure that one at Colemans is mine that I traded sometime back on my new Black un.
    The baffles were drilled out and cut back a bit so sounds like the same one.
    You know a bike is good when you buy a new one the same aye?

    I rode it around the Wairarapa. No motorways there.

    But the Thruxton made you want to buy one...

    You sure have interesting assessments of bikes sometimes Simon. Having said that I've not ridden either, and we both have VERY different road bikes at the moment.

    gsx1400 = 106 hp (78 kW)/ 6,800 rpm, 124 Nm/ 5,000 rpm.

    B-king = 181 hp/9,500 rpm, 108 lbft/7,200 rpm (146Nm/7,200[not to sure if i calcuated this figure correctly in the conversion])

    Both figures taken from suzuki details

    1400 gives power alot lower down the busa

    The FJR is rated at 145hp at the crank and 126Nm peak torque, to give an idea of how brutal the donk on the B-King is.

    Well, I like to get off my motorcycle and not have to hop around bellowing in agony...

    To be honest, the B-King's 16L tank and undoubtedly thirsty engine would be quite significant drawbacks for me. I'm all about the GSX1400's apparent 330km-ish tank range.

    Yeah... see, I was getting 250km+ from a tank on the K2 thou, even. Clicked over 300 just before a fill, once.

    A 200-km tank range from anything other than a motard is crap.

    Yeah, Hornet was about 220km to the fuel light, RSV seems to be about that, maybe a smidge more.
