Bike down this morning at about 07:10. Apparently slipped on the white lines (they're damp) and dropped it.
Nothing else hit, only bumps and bruises and the cages all managed to avoid them.
No other details sorry

It's interesting there are no parallels with slippery road markings, and slip hazards in a workplace under OSH. Eliminate, Isolate or Minimise.

Some one would also have to come up with a traffic management plan, cone off the hazards, and put out the appropriate signage.

A guy on a pushbike came off behind me at the top of the gorge at 8:15am today. Just where the Newland slip merges. I went passed him at the top and then the traffic slowed so I eased up. He was on the meridians as he hit his brakes to slow. All I saw in the mirror behind me was him sliding all over the road as he went down. Thankfully the cars behind him managed to stop. He got up and dragged the bike off to the side.
Halfway down the George, he went passed me on the footpath (if you can call it that) doing about 60k (I was by then moving at about 50). The guy must be a nutter, or have a death wish.
He's not the first I've seen gunning it down that stretch. I am surprised that there isn't more pushbikers coming off down there the way they ride around the morning rush hour traffic.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

I'm with Mark on this. There's nothing to be learnt from it so what's the point? Road markings are slippery when wet. Not exactly brand new information and even newbies should have that committed to memory because it's in the Road Code.
I know why Grub does it, but motorcyclists aren't trained Pilots, have giant egos, believe they know it all anyway, so only a few diligent souls will take heed, and they aren't the sort of people to fall off on road markings because they know they are slippery when wet.
People who fall off and post AARs (After Action Reports) are providing a valuable service. Telling us someone fell off is gossip, IMO of course.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
