I take it this is just a come one come all type deal? That is, you guys are not a 'club' as such and anyone can front up for a ride with some fellow riders? Sounds like fun for summer.
Should be able to make it Wed 2nd although planning 3 day ride, chch-wanaka, wananka-frans joseph and frans-chch after new years, weather forecast will dictate departure day...i want to enjoy the ride and not get wet. :-)

I will be on dry land again in January, and am looking forward to join maybe on the 9th, but if not definitely on the 16 th....for a cruisy trip...
(Hell got myself an "adventure" style scooter because its an easiertransition to go from off land to off road firstsince the real adventures seem to be had on the road...

Just got back from Blenheim. Phoenix and I will be there on Wed night. Keen to do ashley Gorge- but am betting that we would have to leave earlier?? Would it be better to plan a 5.30 departure?

Same, well not the work thing, just in from 4x4ing my way around the peninsula, Akaroa with no more than a 5k streach at a time on the seal.
