    Idiot bike riders!

Bloody idiots like this piss me off!

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/...ectid=10485012

What a bloody waste! Condolences to the family's of the victims, the bike rider I hope you never ever ever get to ride a motorcycle again! Theres plenty of idiots like this out at Muriwai too, my wife was out there riding her horse with a friend the last few days and its amazing that there are not more incidents happening out there, idiots tearing around and through the creek while family's with children play in the same area and are just out there trying to enjoy the beach!

Agree with a lot you say, but people like him will always cause grief, if he doesn't get to ride a bike again, what will he do? ride a car? a big 4wd? a truck? drive drunk?....
Lack off self dicipline, poor attitude will always be dangerous for the rest off us.....
My deepest sympathy goes out to the families and friends involved........

I agree to all the above. BUT, unless said idiot bike rider BEGINS to give a shit, NOTHING will change (in his attitude / actions) THIS site may even encourage him.

Hate to encourage him, so if somebody knows how to contact said rider, please tell him he is invited for some target shooting......

    sad shit that is,
thats buddy L and mine ol stomping ground, its bout 5 mins from my parents place and our local fishing hole.
but this time of the year its nuts out there so many out of towners come up and go camping out the beach, and shit like this happens, its as bad as the long liners who set there line then put the reel the quarters of the way up beach at low tide so when u ride or drive down the beach u get hooked up in it, almost killed a guy i know, he was riding his quad down the beach with his fishing gear and hit the line at about 40kms almost chopped his fkn head off.
and the guy with the long line got all shity cos he hit the line wtf.

yer the clamp down on bikes are going to be a real pain in that area now. every year around this it i head out to the exact beach for a blast on the bikes with mates.
rules that should be comen sence to people, are never ride within about 4 kays of a build up area. don't ride at night, use your brain if you have one.
and ride to the conditions (if you can't see over the hill, don't go fast up it)
heard the news while on holiday at summer X
    very sad.
both people were "out of towners" from my understanding.

What we need is more legislation and some government employees to enforce it.

Or stop your fucking winging and stop the wankers your self.

It's sad news.. but I hate this whole public outcry thing.

OMG SOMEONE DIED ON THE BEACH, MUST BAN ALL THINGS FUN.

OMG PERSON DIED FROM NOT PAYING POWER BILL, MUST SUE ALL POWER COMPANIES

    OMG OMG OMG!

Soon, we'll be confined to our homes and suing tv producers/movie makers to raising our heart beat to unexceptible levels.

This is the point really. Idiots like this dude spoil it for hundreds of responsible bike riders, because things toughen up and it effects us all. If he was to ride 1k up the beach where there were no people and didn't ride there in the dark without lights on, there would not have been a problem. Have your fun and push your boundry's but don't endanger other beach users, in fact make it your mission not to be seen doing anything annoying.
Same with the tossers at Muriwai at the moment, turning alot of people against bikes and bike riders. Go quietly past the family's, playing around the creek, quietly past the horse riders and have your fun further up the beach away from other beach users. Then we might have the opportunity to have our fun for many more years (not that I find riding on a flat beach much fun anyway).

And Fatjim, if you were to go out there and try and talk any common sense to these idiots, your likely just to get abused (like my Wife did on Tuesday at Muriwai) or get in a fight.

Great attitude. Just fucking brilliant. Yep, Snotting a few already!!!

Yes, we are trying to stop the "fucking wankers". But it needs the whole comunity to put the acid on these pricks(mates???). Tell them they are dicks, tell them they are fucking it for the rest.

We caught 10 riders in 1 hour riding illegally last Sunday and mostly on the horse trails. Like Danger, my family also ride horses. Illegals bewareWe've had enough.

hopefully then the local governments will start providing adaquate venues for all to ride.while they keep making these fucked up bylaws restricting the use of mx bikes and trying to shut mx parks down they need to realise that its these sorts of things that are going to keep happening.although like anything, there will always be a few that fuck it up for the rest!

wat were the parents thinking letting him take off that late at night anyway?
they are just as responsable if you ask me.

That is a very very good point. The idiots shutting down venues then expect us to ride where? But this kid had no right to be speeding up and down a beach in the dark. Parents have to step up and control kids.
