Cool, We were out there today for a look... around 3pm... for some space for David to learn/play. Went to Kimmies Park yesterday and after David fell off a couple of times coming down the hill on the Pee Wee track, he wasn't keen anymore - and they don't let you short-cut or ride on the grass.
Whereabouts were you in relation to the carpark/toilets? There were very few people out there by that time...so I'm not sure we found the kids area.
There's a farmhouse near the top of the road (not the first older house but the second of to the left before you take the track down to the car park) They will tell you where to go (in a good way). As you drive thru the car park you go across the small creek (the same way the bikes go to get to the tracks) but you keep left and follow the road (track) up to the closed gate at the end. This paddock is the kids riding area. There is a basic easy loop for the kids to go round and round and round and round and round and round..... and well you get the picture. There is also a longer track in this paddock that offers a bit more of a challenge like bumps and ruts. My daughter loved it and she has hardly ridden before.
Ps the track up to the kids paddock is pretty rough but made it easily in a falcon with a trailer. Might be different if it was damp though.
