Ridding, the front end is a bit bouncy, the front brakes are poor despite being doubles, the lever traps any digits not wise enough to get out the way even under moderate braking and my foot keeps blowing off the right footpeg at 90kph upwards unless I rest it on the brake pedal, not good.oh and if the bride is bigger than a metre tall and wieghs more than 20 kilos she aint guna wana sit on that stool...
    Great report.
Yes you are Lucky, Lucky Lucky

Oh dear not a very good report for the Street Bob. I was looking on a Triumph site and they are bringing out a parallel twin in the 09 Models due out here at the end of 08 Triumph have by popular feedback. Going to build a production mid sized cruiser with a 1500cc motor. I understand it will be on the same design as the rocket. It also says the bore on the twin is the same size as one of the Rocket111 bore. I love my 1050 Tiger but It's a wee bit to tall for me and I have had a couple of close calls re overbalances. So in short I am going to wait for the Triumph's 1500 cruiser, as the price will be thousands cheaper than the HD and probably a better finish, and a better all round bike.

    Your brakes need a bleed.
I don't find any of that - at all.

Brakes are fine with good lever action on the test bike - and I have absolutely no issues with any of the ergonomics.
What are you wearing? Gumboots? joke - Get a pair of H-D johnny rebs - way styley - nil footpeg issues.

My only 'problem' with the bike is that everything it does - engine, handling, brakes - are so good they are all in excess of the available cornering clearance - but that comes with the territory.

    Great bike.

Now you are being silly Bulge no one likes you when your silly. Also better not get slagging of the Trumpets Bilge, by burning your bridges, because after you get sick of pedaling that chrome compressor around, and dragging the foot pegs on the tar seal. It really is a two wheeler the novelty will wear of pretty quickly. You will be back to the rat pack again mate where you belong. I don't see you wanting to become a road captain or the likes. Can you? Cut your losses and sell that hog to the Wanganui harbour board they are looking for anchors. And buy yourself a neat Triumph Rocket or this new 1500 cruiser coming out.

Yo big Dave,If your name is an actual indication of your stature and not your apendage, that maybe why your better suited to the ergos re; foot slip offage.I stand a mighty 5 foot ten and a bit but my legs stopped growing when I was about 10so me pins are at full stretch which means I have to break my right ankle every ride to achieve the foot angle required to sit it on the peg and not conflict with the break pedal.having bored you with all that I've changed the pegs now and it's all good.
As for the brakes your bang on,air in the system, solid as a fairly solid thing now.
1500k on it now and very happy with it, it just feels good under ones ass,you know, kinda right.
    Oh bugger

    One doesn't like to brag.

Good news all round. Met another happy owner at the Pub yesterday.
Only worry was about the grinding his pipes were getting.
