Ok, so we've established that some women get more adventurous as they get older (you know who you are, you saucy thing), how about the menfolk?

I work in a 100% male environment for weeks at a time and as seems to be the way many jokes and conversations gravitate towards the one thing none of us can get: sex....(er, involving another person that is)

I recall being astonished when a work mate piped up that once every now and then was fine with him. Just scratch the itch and get on with life he reckoned, couldn't be bothered with anything flash, no "Batman costume jumping off the wardrobe" for this guy. I envy him in a way, life would be so much simpler without the little head talking the big head into "sticky" situations (excuse the lousy pun).

So, how prevalent is it that a womans sex drive actually overtakes their man's? All of a sudden you realise that you are the one doing the chasing instead of being chased, does it affect how you feel about your partner? About yourself?

You wouldn't fit her undies Dan!!

So you actually have a type?

I can't say I've ever had a set criteria that had to be met or that particularly appealed. Sometimes you see a curvy Selma Hayek type woman that ooses sensuality, other times it's a hard bodied althlete that looks all lithe and lovely. A young woman in the full bloom of youth may catch your eye, but an older woman can have a knowing smile that is equally as enticing. Bronzed beauty's can be stunning but so to are those displaying a more porcelain perfection.

Nup, I can't say I've ever had a type, it's more how the sum of the parts (including that indefineable "something") come to gether as a whole.

Good spotting, although I was refering to a type in general...The greater majority of individuals I seem attracted to at first glance, if you know what I mean.

But yes, I fully agree that I would find attractive different people on a case by case basis as well. It is not ruled entirely by physical attributes alone either...

For example, I find Anthony Hopkins mesmerizing, but it is entirely due to his charisma and presence. A true gentleman and someone that would be more than able to hold a conversation is so very appealing.

And sometimes, it is just a fantastic smile which does it for me, where everything else might be considered average by other people.

    Taste in men

I used to be quite rigid in my tatse in men when I was younger, they tended to be tall, dark skinned and had dark hair (muscles were a big bonus). As I have gotten older and hopefully wiser I have found that it is mostly about the personality and if they can make me laugh then wehey.

Now I find that the old 'should be this and should have' criteria has disappeared. if a guy sparks me with his wit, intelligence and is kind, sweet and respectful that is of more importance than wether he is tall etc etc. Amazing men come in all shapes, sizes and have various backgrounds and so long as they treat me well that is the main thing!

I'll start to answer the new angle I presented on this thread:

My criterias for physical attraction in men has definitely changed since I neared 30. I used to be attracted to guys with dark olive skin, black hair and blue or dark eyes.
Now, I get weak at knees when I see my gorgeous hubby who has light bronze skin, blue eyes and blond hair.
Also, the body type I have noticed has gotten musclier and a bit taller.

Now, this could be due to the fact that I took a very strong physical dislike to my ex who used to fit the first description. I don't know, but is a drastic turn around.

In regards to being adventurous...heck yeah! I've never been scared as per say, but it is more the ideas that come to mind and the willingness to give it a go that has changed.

And that's all I'm prepared to say on the matter. Right! Who's next?

Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here. QWQ

I dont need it, my partner felt he needed some help keeping up with me.This was in response to the above post about how you handle it when your drive is higher than your partners.

My partner felt he wasnt able to keep up with me so he went to the doctor (unknown to me) and got some Viagra. It has worked well for us.

Maybe you are lucky but perhaps youve never encounted a women who is outa control

Sad, your call but I see no problem in resolving an issue.....it would be sad if you didnt

No disrespect meant I assure you...But I really think that a doctor prescribing a drug such as Viagra to a 24 (and one assumes otherwise healthy) year old male, just because he can't keep up with his partner is absolute nonsense bordering on irresponsibility on the part of the medical practicioner.

Now, once again, before you misinterpret my opinion...I think it is great that you guys are trying to meet each other's sexual requirements, but I don't think that a drug should be the answer. It was meant for men twice his age, with seriously flunked libidos (meaning no uppy Mister Happy at all), not to increase an exisiting sex life.

I just really hope it will not come to any damages to your partner's health, as I have found a lot of doctors in NZ very freehanded in their approach to drugs, which has been on many occasions proven to be detrimental to the patients' health.

Now, it is my opinion, but I am not judging you nor your partner, just expressing some concern for your well being, that's all.

Theres a wee bit of med history there also which may be why the doctor gave it up so easily. Totally with you 007xxx over prescribed meds is a huge issue esp in USA. I didnt ask him too he went by himself and didnt discuss it with me and I woulda said dont do it, but Im kinda glad he did
