Well I was thinking of buying a hyosung GT650R but couldn't afford it so ended up with a Ducati

    Seriously, my shopping list was:
    1/ Must be V Twin.
    2/ Must be fully faired.
3/ Must have USD front end.
4/ Must have long service interval (the Ducati 10,000km service interval and Brembo brakes as standard clinched the deal)
In space, no one can smell your fart.

Coz it looks way cool and the standard way up forks on my VTR felt like they twisted a bit when cornering hard - remember I'm a fat bastard - not like some of you skinny blokes.

If you treat your bike like shit and dont maintain it, of course its gonna break down. Its not just Hyosungs, if you dont look after any bike its going to have issues. Yeah i know Hyosungs have a bad reputation and the majority of them are held together with superglue but they are a cheap bike. And they are good for what they are, getting through the licence system.

Nope. My Vulcan 800 came with a 2 year warranty. I'd have to check how many kms it was good for though.

So let me get this straight -- a despatch rider fucks a bike within 25,000kms -- and that's surprising to you people?

23000k in 8 months is pretty good... What was the problem? First service at 1000k, second at 4000k. He would have had to take it in for a lot of scheduled servicing in that 8 months considering his mileage...

Cheaper bikes have better warranties. Honda CBF250 for example. Same RRP, Suzuki DR-Z250 2yr/unlimited. My <$9000 Suzuki has a 2yr/unlimited.

It's a short warranty for the money.

no probs when i had my Hyo, i actually read the warranty and its written in english - 10000km or 1 year whichever comes first.

Sounds like a boohoo story about a boy whom didnt look after the engine. Fits nicely into this "its someone else's fault world" dont it.
