If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
This mate of yours, does he work have a transformers decal on his bike?
I think I met the guy at the lights in the city several times.
Then again, couriers do get around...
Regardless, I may soon be taking possession of a GT250R with 8,000 k's on it. Never been abused, only treated with the most loving of care. It's my old bike - but I killed the outside and it should be written off, however the engine is fine. If he wants to show me some folding money I'm sure something could happen.
*PM me if he's keen and I'll let you know if I end up buying the wreck from insurance

DRZ250's do not come with a 2 year warranty, their warranty is 6 months unlimited KM's,
GN250's had a one year warranty as well,
most japanese 250';s come with a 1 year warraanty,
That guy is minus a few fairings last Itime I saw him. Fully debaffled as well?
I've done 15,000km in 12 months and besides the clutch cable snapping at 10,000 and losing the master link on my chain I've had no problems what so ever.
I've had my full license now for 4 months and still happy on my Hyo, it suits the purpose fine
When buying ANYTHING its up to the buyer to research and ask questions - not up to the salesman to say "the warranty is ....".
Shit happens (more quickly to some than others depending on how they treat their bike). I have had a brand new car spit a ECU whilst driving it home from the dealers - dosnt make all of that make shit.
Hyosungs vary in quality depending on what model you buy. All in all I think they are not bad quality for the price you pay.
Well all I can say is I have done 55555km in 17 months and apart from 2 early things under warranty I have had no problems at all. The bike is serviced every 4000km (approx every 5weeks) by TSS and I would buy another
Did I hear right that Hyo originally made components for Suzuki - and that they have latterly made the move to produce their own bike range?
Any idea what components they supplied to Suzuki? Cheers DJ

I believe they did produce Suzukis under licence for their domestic market for a while, but when they produced theor own bikes they snaffled some engineers from Suzuki for themselves.
"If life gives you a shit sandwich..." someone please complete this expression
I have had 2 GT250R's...still have one of them...traded the other to buy a Ducati when I got full Licence. 1 had 19000ks and the other has 11000 ks without trouble. (nope...I changed the chains at about 10000ks...which is about all they are good for)
I also believe that Hyosungs get a 2 year warranty in Aussie...its just the NZ importer that pegs it back to 1 year. (heard that somewhere)
Verdict ...........
Broken Cam Shaft.
and still not covered under warranty.
He's planning on taking the matter to fair go
Watch this space
And it's not the bike with the transformer decal's on it either, it's a black hyo which use to be with urgent but has just started at Pace.

+1
You should not expect anymore from that bike...
Warranty would have been calculated to ensure majority of large expensive fixes would happen after it expires.... ie most owners take hyos in for major work after approx one year of ownership. Simple business.
Sell your bike before warranty expires...![]()

Just to jump in on the tail end, my old Hyobag did 30,000 without a problem, sounds to me like your mate was treating it like a piece of crap.
There is nothing wrong with the Hyosung brand, but like any engine, if you don't look after it, it will die.
