Technically, in a percentage type spin they can say what they like...

I'd rather spend $100 a year on KB merchandise than $15 or $25 just to register a user account on that new site...www.carmad.co.nz is equally crap.

I see they did their market research to ensure they know their main competitors. Or hold on, is KB not a competitor because it's free?

Personally I don't see the point. They will use marketing on the radio and things to get alot of members but why would you pay to join a site like that when one like this is perfectly fine and costs nothing?

To be honest I was interested until I heard about this one...

I was gonna offer to pay for his registration if he promised one spelling and one grammer error per post. :-)

Let's say this site's promoters are investing $5,000 on radio advertising. That's 200 memberships to cover their costs. One suspects that they are selling or have sold advertising deals to commercial entities too as part of their "business plan".

It's almost worth spending $25 to join and then promoting the shit out of Kiwi Biker. That would be a good test for their Moderators! Mwuahahahahaha!

I just registered, but didn't join up. I see I am listed on the membership list, but can't post to the forums. It makes me wonder how may other "members" haven't actually subscribed.

I don't see an Adventure section there either.
Good luck to them, I'll not be back.

I believe it should be 'standard of pedantry'. Singular.
