Don't be so self absorbed, the point he's making is that it's not all about you. All most people want from a 250 is something to learn on, anyone that doesn't want to go slow either buys a 2 stroke or a bigger bike.

this has got out of hand,

Mark made his opinion at the start, and most people seem to disagree with it, and by judging by the number of emails and phone calls i recieved this week the 250 buying public does as well,

its a great bike, it was never designed to be a ZXR250, (if new one was released new here it would probebly be around $12000-$13000 RRP and be sale proof)

as what was said about the desgner needing a promtion, two right, this is a huge model for kawasaki and a great way to get people into a brand. and with the 650 twins as the next step up they have a pathway to keep people on thier brand,

this bike is going to be here for a while, and i presume promotoed quite heaverly, thier is talk about kawasaki running a learner race series in the US for these as well,

same engine eh? looks like that same engine has been tweaked by mr kawasaki

its not the same engine, it has a whole new head design, using shim and buckets rather than the old tappits, 30% or bottom to mid power is claimed

it is the same bore and stroke and thats about it,

True, this forum has got way off topic, when its really quite simple...

    want speed.....get a 2 stroke

want an all rounder with speed......get an early zxr or cbr

want a new bike to learn on.....get a hyo or the new ninja.

Hyos and ninjas have their place in the market as new good looking bikes to learn on, that arent to fast for a 1st bike. Many have said and are totally correct, 2 strokes arent a good learner bike, and in some cases you shouldnt go n jump straight on a cbr or early zxr eitha.

Some do want 250s to thrash on, and they'll go get 2strokes and old ninjas, and those that want a bike to cruise around on will go for the new 1s.

All the new ninja means is theres now something more in the 250 market for people to choose so they can get the bike that suits them and their needs.

Also its good to see a new 250 sports bike so their might be a few less hyos being seen on the roads, there everywhere!!!! The guy at kawazaki who came up with it has to get a promo, cus the new bike should make them a f*$%ing fortune!!!!

    Dont you mean contradicting yourself?

Most people who have the experience to ride quicker than a learner 250 allows have enough sense to keep their licence long enough to upgrade to something that is more comfortable at higher speeds than a learner 250.

BTW. Seen one in the flesh now. Your Opinion is wrong. Plain and simple.
