My Bike Has A Mind Of It's Own?

Halfway through a ride today my bike decided that it didn't want to start after a short stop off.
I tried to start it and it was kicking over, BUT it just didn't have the oomph to go. So I took my thumb off the start button and it kept on kicking over! So I flicked the kill switch and it kept on kicking over, so I turned it off and it kept on kicking over!!
Then just before the battery died, it stopped. I waited for a minute. Then tried to start it again, the battery was almost dead flat.
I gave it a push start and all went well for the rest of the ride, no problems what so ever.

Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?

It's a Suzuki? Check for loose battery connection or something earthing on frame.

I wasn't "trying"It would have been stupid if I was trying to keep up with you three or 4. First time I'd been on those roads I admit there was effort, but I could have put more in

Anywho yes ArcherWC it's a zookie.

Just like a flippin women – I don’t know; one minute I’m doing well, pushing all the right buttons and getting her all revved up, then bingo; don’t know what I did exactly but something killed the mood, couldn’t get it started no matter what I tried.
Even backed off, left it for a while then tried again, unfortunately not with the same positive results you had.

Bikes and birds – they both can be fickle some days, great fun when it’s all happening the way it’s supposed to.

I think the secret is doing all the preparation and maintenance leading up to the actual ride.

I think it's what people do to avoid fixing broken stuff.

Buy a Hornet, other Honda owners wank on about reliability so much I'm testing the theory by doin nothin at all to my old nail.
