Oh yes, definitely way off topic. Unless they were, I don't know, showing us how to do some general bike maintenance, that'd be pretty useful for your general Wednesday newbie, right? How not to wash your bike? Yeah, I reckon that'd be quite useful actually.... you know, in case of emergencies and all that....

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I mean, what if one of us should forget the correct procedure involved in say, getting all lathered and steamy?
"Oh dear, miss, could you please show me again, only more slowly? Such a shocking memory today..."

Yeah. That's more like a weekend afternoon exercise than a weekday night one. About half that distance would be more reasonable especially if you're looking for a halfway break and natter.

Yes, well, earlier on I roll up to lights and looked over to the car in the lane next and looked away and then thought "what the hell? was that Dave", so I look back and sure enough, it's Dave and he's looking at me thinking "oh shit, he's seen me!!."

Now this doesn't sound so bad does it? I'm sure Dave's alowed to drive a car...

...but an MX5!!!!! With the top down!!!

So hows the new career going Dave? Are you enjoying hair dressing?

(I'm only teasing ya. One of my sister's ex's had an MX5...but then his sexuality was in question.)

Plenty of questioning of his sexuality was done last night when he told us the story...! All good humour though.... We went easy on you coz it'd be mean to make you suffer more than you are already!

Enjoy the ride, I'm heading off to work for the night in about 10 minutes.

We are heading to Kaikoura or Akaroa this weekend if anyone wants to come. Send me a PM. Destination not confirmed as it'll will depend on how much time people have on the day. Thinking it'll probably on Saturday though.

25hours to go and still undecided... or are all the quiet ones with Biggles and the Leader Valley?
Well I think you all know my fall back plan choice... it would be same as last week.... Duvauchelles again, or if a couple of the Adventure crew showed and wanted to split off to do Western Valley Rd I'd be up for that too.

If its leader Valley I wont be able to do it. The bike likes to drink petrol so dont like my chances of making it round. The other week I barely made it back to springfield from the bealey pub...... I think it has serious issues.

I have yet to ride along any part of summit road though, any possiblilites in that?
