i scrape fairings on the zxr before i get rid of the chicken strips... on the rear
yes my mates cbr gets rid of em easy on the rear and front...same tyres same profiles...
my zxr has a non stock rear rim...i think thats the issue...and my rear shock is fucked.
Who really cares whether a tyre has been used to the very edge of its carcass. Very few people actually use the entire tyre before it wears out anyway (e.g. commuting wears out middle, not edges)
Chicken strips taste best when barbequed![]()
It is what it is
Chicken strips are nothing to worry about on either end of the bike (despite what I tell Dipshit when he gets on his soapbox) and as a number of people have pointed out, it depends as much on the tyre shape as it does lean angle. 120/60 section front tyres are notorious for for running out of rubber on the edge before the rear.
If you're happy with your riding, don't stress.

More on the back than the front means you are riding backwards. Sort yourself out man.
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.
yes 'em.....im not stressing about it really..I was just more interested in seeing if there was perhaps a reason for it. I had the front wash out on me on the whangamoa's a few months back but that was when my front left shock let go and gushed oil everywhere. low speed...but scary as it was a 35k lefty corner and if there had been anything coming the other way I would have been toast...minor damage to the fairings and a hole in my left glove from where I put my hand down. (and full undies)
But yes on further investigation the front wheel seems to be a harder compound than the rear and a different profile. Ive just kinda kept my eye on it the last few weeks. Its due for replacement soon...only has about 3mm tread left so i'll match it up with the rear which seems to hang on no matter how hard its worked....feels really solid....the front can get a little hairy at times.![]()
NADE
My chicken strips are smaller on the right hand side of my bike, than on my left. This brings me to think the world is made up of more sharp handed right hand corners than left ones. That or i'm a total chicken when turning left. Chicken strips don't mean much to me, just gotta ride
, i wouldn't know why your front has non dude sorry. lol
Camber probably.

It aint how fast ya get there, it's that ya get there at all...
maybe the front tyre is running low tyre pressure?
mate cleaned his tyre all the way out on the front and then found it was only running 20psi. someone can correct me on whether this could cause the tyre to tuck under a bit?
