- Just after the bit of unorthodox cornering.
Pampa is now winning the "who can damage their bike the most competition"
- Waihi Falls
- We actually had to walk nearly 200 meters to get here.
- The Rimutaka awaits.
Fantastic day guys.

You barstards.
Thanks for the pics Jim, what do mean damage his bike competition. Shame we didnt get a shot of mating Dakars.
Don't know if anyone is ever going to want to join our trips. After this trip and http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=61376
BTW, I thought I was getting pretty good at those powerslides too! There's always a limit eh! But she only got me off on the 4th flick!
I'm sure that Howie won'tjoin us again. Anyway thanks for the ride and help when needed it was fun and it was a very nice ride forgetting the carnage ... tho ... we'll c how much it costs.
Visa advertisement usually states something like:
-u can buy a BMW
-u can buy your gear
-going for an adventure in the Makairo track with your mates is priceless
This case would be something like:
-u can buy a BMW
-u can buy your gear
-going for an adventure in the Makairo track with your mates will be blody expensive
But hey it was an adventure after all, wasn't it?
I have a few pics worth looking I'll post 'em later today
- Where we went
- Google earth 4.2 kmz file of the Makiro track
Few useless facts
Trip Odom: 443ks
Moving Time: 06:57
Stopped: 05:14
Moving Average: 63.8kph
Overall Average: 36.3kph

Good one guys!
K Slider et al - you guys obviously had fun. The Makiro is a testing little track eh BusaJim?

Glad you all enjoyed yourselves...
if you pillocks ever want to do this again let me know ....
So what do I have here a few pics of the guys riding, it was only matter of avoiding the rots, altho was difficult to choose which ones
1. K Slider working the track
2. and succeeding ( this time)
3. Paul doing the job
4. Panoramic "the guys having a rest"
So we kept going the rain was increasing the track was getting wet, the grass was overgrown ...
1. K Slider after recovering the bike
2. A view from afar
3. BusaJim showing how to do a power slide in a 1.5m wide track ...no wait a second I'm not too sure that was the case
4. A nice view of the track,u r not having double vision

Some more stuff
1. A view of the valey further down the track
2. At the other end (similar to BusaJim already posted)
3. Me Helping Rob![]()
nice pics Pampa - thanks for posting.
It's obvious to me that with the track becoming overgrown - not enough of us a taking up the Makiro Challenge - often enough - I've done it in winter for each of the past 2 years.![]()
Nice one guys. Looks like you had fun.
It's always overgrowen at the end of summer. Winter and spring are the best, though a little more sloppy.
When I had a look the other day, it looked like no one had been through for a while.
